SAM

Sam is a group exercise instructor and the business manager for Better Life Fitness. In addition, Sam is also certified through the Lifestyle Medicine Institute to direct a six-week intensive, therapeutic lifestyle counseling program known as Complete Health Improvement Program.

Alongside his wife, Sam also runs a successful highly regimented weight-loss event for obese individuals, where several people have experienced weight reductions of up to 20 lbs in 40 days. In all, fitness & wellness via lifestyle change education is at the core of the Better Life Fitness business model Sam has created.

With a background working in the corporate world, Sam knows first-hand how a sedentary lifestyle impacts our health. But Sam’s active lifestyle began at the age of 8 when soccer and trail hikes were his favorite pass times. During high school and college, Sam continued his interest in soccer and supplemented his physical activity with gymnastics, volleyball and track, plus many outdoor recreational sport activities. Today, Sam keeps physically active through various modes of fitness training, including running, weight lifting, and HIIT.

 CRISSY

Crissy has been a participant of Baby n Mommy Xercise since her first born (who is now in school) entered the world, and she is really excited about now instructing this class. She has a BS in Physical Education from University of La Verne and although she has no desire to go back to teaching high school physical education, she misses teaching and the gratification that comes with the territory. She taught high school physical education and dance for 10 years and coached high school cheerleading for 12 years.

Crissy has always enjoyed working out in a “boot camp” style of class and loves that she gets to incorporate her enjoyment of working out with her enjoyment of being with her babies. Introducing children to the concept that fitness is a part of their life is a priceless experience. Also, Crissy loves photographing people. She and her husband, Patrick have been married for six years and would rather be at the river with Layla and little Patrick on any given day.
